You never pull up a wood floor and find a beautiful carpet

Wood floors are the only floor covering that get prettier as they become older.  Marks, dings, and scratches add to the ongoing beauty and luster only old wood floors can achieve.  Below are some pictures on floors in horrible shape that were returned to a beautiful, serviceable condition.
